Tomas has a degree in Physics by the University of Barcelona and is a Collegiate Journalist.

 

He is Chief Meteorologist Televisio de Catalunya, and presents every evening the Weather program "El Temps" after the main news www.tv3.cat. He is Director of the program Espai Terra at TV3, Television of Catalunya, shown every evening just before the main news, about weather, environment, geography and climate.

 

Tomas is Associate Professor of Weather Forecast at the Master on Meteorology at the University of Barcelona. President of the CATALAN COUNCIL for COMMUNICATION of SCIENCE.  Member of the Board of Directors of the CATALAN METEOROLOGICAL SERVICE and Member of the Advisor Council of the Catalan Parliament about science and technology.

 

He has directed several workshops about weather on the media with the WMO and the national weather services of Argentina and Peru. Given and directed many speeches at different meteorological conferences such as the American Meteorological Society, the European Meteorological Society, and for several governmental and private or education entities in Spain.

 

Tomas has been invited by the Japan government to act as Master Ceremony for the Japan Honour day at the Water Expo of Zaragoza, with his Highness Imperial Prince of Japan.

He has been to Japan twice invited as an expert for weather broadcasters, and has been invited by the China Meteorological Administration to be International Expert at the 1st. World Meteorological Forum and at the Expo of Shanghai

 

Awarded as Best TV Personality 2012 in Spain “Zapping award” and runner-up several years. He is the proud father of 3 children, and published 6 books: one referred to the environment and 4 for children about weather, astronomy, & earth physics stories, and the last one about the Climate Change in Spain.
