Panos Giannopoulos holds a B.Sc. in Physics and a M.Sc. in Meteorology (scholarship from State Scholarships Foundation I.K.Y) , both from the University of Athens, Greece. He works as a meteorologist-forecaster at Hellenic National Meteorological Service (HNMS).

 

For five years he was weather presenter for Greek Public TV (ERT).  Now he is weather broadcaster for RealFM and also he writes the weather-forecast page for the newspaper REAL NEWS. 

   

He is  member of the committee of the Greek Meteorological Society (EMTE). He is a member of the expert team on Pubic Weather Services for World Meteorological Organisation (WMO)  and member of the Working Group for the cooperation of European Forecasters (WGCEF). Since 2009 he is Fellow of Royal Meteorological Society (RMetS).
